Comfort Zones

A thought to ponder.

Since we are in the computer age, what would be our comfort zones that are related to IT.

Is it the presence of a good IT Manager?

Is it with the installation of a security product? A firewall perhaps? Or even an anti-virus system?

Is it with the presence of a tested disaster recovery program? Or an existence of a good and reliable tape backup facility? Or even a remote backup and disaster recovery center?

Or is it plainly, the presence of a systems administrator, who is doing nothing 90% of the time?

Now what would happen if these things fail? Or your most trusted lieutenant leaves?

Does it mean you would be going out of your comfort zone?

Just asking.
